Ichi and Dion took care of class tonight. Ichi took the 18 students through his favorite Passes and subs.
1) Knee through pass variation
2) Hook/open guard pass.
3) Variation on 2, when the opponent follows with their hook. Do the Ichi hip switch in mid air to unstick the hook.
4) Mounted, attempt a cross lapel choke, if they defend, ride high on the arm and armbar.
Finished class with pass/sweep and a quick roll

1. Slide right hand in to Opponent's right collar (fingers in, thumb out) to start choke
(if Opponent doesn't react, can continue with choke: left hand goes over your right hand and either thumb in Opponent's left collar, or just grab the gi on the trap & pull hands up to finish)
2. Opponent defends by claiming your right hand against his chest, and bending it down away from his throat.
3. your left hand posts out to right above Opponent's head (prevents bridge-and-roll escape)
4. slide your left knee up past Opponent's head, far enough that Opponent's right elbow is in your stomach, not outside your left hip. Your right hand claims Opponent's right arm.
5. rotate your right leg to the right so your right knee is pointing down towards Opponent's legs, and right foot is under his left shoulder. lean forward over Opponent's right arm to straighten it out
6. bring your left leg over Opponent's head and go back for the armbar.
(at any stage can choose to go for the choke instead)
